ශ්‍රී ලංකා ප්‍රජාතාන්ත්‍රික සමාජවාදී ජනරජයේ ගරු ජනාධිපති අනුර කුමාර දිසානායක මැතිතුමාගේ ප්‍රධානත්වයෙන් විශේෂ දිස්ත්‍රික් සම්බන්ධීකරණ කමිටු රැස්වීමක්‌ අද දිස්ත්‍රික් ලේකම් කාර්යාල ශ්‍රවණාගාරයේදී පැවැත්විණි. දිට්වා සුළි කුණාටු තත්ත්වය නිසා දිස්ත්‍රික්කය තුළ සිදුවූ සියලු ආපදාවන් පිළිබඳව ගරු ජනාධිපතිතුමාගේ අවධානය මෙහිදී යොමු විය. ඒ අනුව එම ආපදා තත්ත්වය හේතුවෙන් සිදු වූ ජීවිත හානි, අඩාල වූ හා විනාශ වූ යටිතල පහසුකම්, දේපළ හා නිවාස හානි, ජීවනෝපාය මාර්ග අහිමිවීම් ආදිය පිළිබඳව මෙහිදී සාකච්ඡා කළ අතර ජන ජීවිතය යථාවත් කිරීම සඳහා ක්‍රියාත්මක සහන වැඩපිළිවෙළ දිස්ත්‍රික්කය තුළ ක්‍රියාත්මක වීම පිළිබඳව ද මෙහිදී ජනාධිපතිතුමාගේ විශේෂ අවධානය යොමු විය. මෙම අවස්ථාවට දිස්ත්‍රික් සම්බන්ධීකරණ කමිටුවේ සභාපති රාජ්‍ය පරිපාලන පළාත් සභා හා පළාත් පාලන අමාත්‍ය චන්දන අබේරත්න මැතිතුමා ප්‍රමුඛ දේශපාලන අධිකාරිය, වයඹ පළාත් ආණ්ඩුකාරවර තිස්ස වර්ණසූරිය මැතිතුමා ප්‍රමුඛ පළාත් සභා නිලධාරීන්, ජනාධිපති ලේකම් කාර්යාල නිලධාරීන්,දිස්ත්‍රික් ලේකම් වයි. අයි. එම්.සිල්වා මහතා ප්‍රමුඛ ප්‍රාදේශීය ලේකම්වරු ඇතුළු සියලුම රාජ්‍ය ආයතන නිලධාරීන් සහභාගී විය.

A Special District Coordination Committee meeting was held today at the District Secretariat Auditorium under the patronage of His Excellency the President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, Mr. Anura Kumara Dissanayake. During the meeting, special attention was drawn to all disasters that occurred within the district as a result of the prevailing cyclonic storm conditions. Accordingly, detailed discussions were held on the loss of lives, damage and disruption to infrastructure, damage to property and housing, loss of livelihoods, and other impacts caused by the disaster situation. His Excellency the President also placed special emphasis on the effective implementation of relief and assistance programmes across the district in order to restore normalcy to the lives of the affected population. The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the District Coordination Committee and Minister of Public Administration, Provincial Councils and Local Government, Hon. Chandana Abeyratne, along with members of the political authority; the Governor of the North Western Province, Hon. Tissa Warnasuriya, together with provincial council officials; officials from the Presidential Secretariat; the District Secretary, Mr. Y. I. M. Silva; Divisional Secretaries; and representatives of all relevant government institutions.
