- Perform for the coordination role of the district and local levels optimize the contribution of agriculture to use other line departments and the private sector.

- Providing the farmers the additional food crop seeds such as green grams, ground nuts under the additional food crop program under 50% of farmers’ contribution
- Implementing the school “ThuruUyan” programme under the resolute school programme, coordinating the development programs implemented under the farmer’s trust fund

Objectives of the Department
- Conducting written examinations within two weeks for applicants to provide new Driving Licenses. Conducting practical test within 3 month who passed written exam
- Provide Driving Licenses for persons who passed practical test
- Provide Driving Licenses after conducting test who extent Driving Licenses and apply other vehicle classes
- Provide duplicate copy of Driving Licenses for loss and Damaged Driving Licenses
- Provide amended new Driving Licenses those who applied Driving License to amend
- Provide new Number plates which received from the Head Office to Motor Vehicle Owners who provide relevant documents
- Inspect Vehicles and issue weight Certificates, Certificate of identity, remove forbidden regulations, Inspect Government vehicles and Provide reports
- Issuing Duplicate / Amended Certificates of Registration

Overview
Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) is the apex government organization mandated to protect consumers’ interests and ensure fair market competition in Sri Lanka. It has been established under the Consumer Affairs Authority Act No.09 of 2003. The act has laid down the legal provisions empowering the CAA to take necessary actions to safeguard the interests of consumers while maintaining effective competition among suppliers of goods and services- A delighted consumer through regulation of trade.

About Us
Measurement Units , Stands and Services Department (mussd) was established in 1997 to implement the Measurement Units , Standards and Services Act No 35 of 1995. The department is the ancestor to the weight and measurement division of the department of Internal Trade which was established in 1952 to implement weight and measure ordinance No 37 of 1946. MUSSD is the National measurement body responsible for Scientific , Industrial and Legal measurement in Sri Lanka.

Getting the contributing of the pension scheme
The contributing application can be got from the Division of the Social Insurance Pension situated in the District Secretariat or from the Social Service Officer of the Region, Economic Development Officer, Samurdhi Officer
The duly filled application can be handed over to the Division of the Social Insurance Pension or the officers mentioned above. The first installment should be paid in handing over
Paying installments
The installments can be paid at any post office and a pass book is issued for that
The installments can be paid at any branch of the People’s bank or Bank of Ceylon using the bank credit card of SSB issued by the Social Insurance Board for that
Giving death and disabled benefits
To the Division of Social Insurance pension of the District Secretariat within 90 days after the death/after the disability of the relevant contributor
Getting the additional educational benefits of the pre planning pension scheme of Arassawa
The guardians should present the relevant request to the Division of the Social Insurance Pension of the District Secretariat within 90 days after issuing the results
Amending the deed
Changing the address by changing the residence
Amending the contributor’s / guardian’s name
Amendment of the post heirs A request with the certified photocopy of the document which is to be amended to make the above amendments
Checking the payments of the installments
By presenting a letter of request with a photocopy of the installment pass book or calling on 032 2266795
