සාහිත්ය, කලාව, දේශපාලනය, ඉතිහාසය, සන්නිවේදනය හා මාධ්ය ඇතුළු ක්ෂේත්ර ගණනාවක් පෝෂණය කළ හා සොයා පාදාගත් දැණුමෙන් හුදී ජන විඥානය ඥාණාභිවර්ධනය කිරීමෙහි ලා දශක ගණනාවක් පුරා කරන ලද සද්කාර්යය ඇගැයෙනු පිණිස “රෝහණ මද්දුමරාල” නම් වූ විශිෂ්ට සාහිත්යධරයා නමින් පැවති දිස්ත්රික් සාහිත්ය කලා උළෙල දිස්ත්රික් සම්බන්ධීකරණ කමිටුවේ සම සභාපති පාර්ලිමේන්තු මන්ත්රි ගයාන් ජානක මහතා සහ අතිරේක දිස්ත්රික් ලේකම් (පාලන) පුබුදිකා එස් බණ්ඩාර මහත්මියගේ ප්රධානත්වයෙන් මහවැව මුදා දේවී රංග ශාලාවේ දී පැවැත්විණි.
දිස්ත්රික් ශාසනාරක්ෂක මණ්ඩලයේ සභාපති, පූජ්ය හාල්පන්විල පාලිත ස්වාමින්වහන්සේ ඇතුළු මහාසංඝරත්නය සහ සර්ව ආගමික පූජකතුමන්ලාගේ ආශිර්වාදයෙන් ඇරඹි මෙම සාහිත්ය කලා උළෙලේ දී රෝහණ මද්දුමරාල කලාකරුවා වෙනුවෙන් පිදෙන අනුස්මරණ සම්මානය එතුමන්ගේ බිරිද වන විශ්රාමලත් පරිවාස හා ළමාරක්ෂක සේවා නිලධාරිනි ගාල්ලගේ ජයසීලි ද සිල්වා මහත්මිය වෙත පිරිනමන ලදි.
මෙම උත්සවයට සමගාමීව සාහිත්ය, කලාව හා මාධ්ය යන ක්ෂේත්රයන් හි ඇප කැප වූ කලාකරුවන්ගේ හා මාධ්යවේදීන්ගේ සේවය අගය කරමින් පිරිනමනු ලබන “ කලාධිනි ” සම්මානය සම්මානලාභින් දසදෙනෙකු වෙත ප්රධානය කළේය.
එම සම්මානලාභින් වන්නේ, කලාකෙත පෝෂණය කිරිම උදෙසා පිදුම් ලද පූජ්ය තම්මැන්නාවැටියේ රතන ජෝති ස්වාමීන්වහන්සේ, ඩබ්.එම්.විවියන් ශ්රී අයේෂ්මන්ත මහතා, එම්.ඒ.ඩි.කේ.ජේ.මදුරප්පෙරුම මහතා, ඒ.ඒ.ඩි.ඩි.කේ.එම්.අමරසිංහ මහත්මිය, එම්.එම්.සිරිනන්දසූරිය මහතා, ඩබ්.ඒ.අරුණශාන්ති මහත්මිය,පී.ඩි. සරත් කුමාර මහතා සහ මාධ්ය ක්ෂේත්රය උදෙසා කැපවූ ජයරත්න වික්රමාරච්චි මහතා, කේ මහාදේවන් මහතා සහ මිහිර විජේසේකර මහතා යන අයවළුන් ය.
මෙම උළෙලෙහි තවත් සුවිශේෂි අංගයක්වූයේ 2025 දිස්ත්රික් සාහිත්ය කළා මහෝත්සවය වෙනුවෙන් රචිත තම්බපණ්ණී අක්වැස්ස IIl ශාස්ත්රීය ග්රන්ථය දිස්ත්රික් සම්බන්ධීකරන කමිටුවේ සභාපති පාර්ලිමේන්තු මන්ත්රි ගයාන් ජානක මහතා ඇතුළු පැමිණි පිරිසට දිස්ත්රික් සාහිත්ය බලමණ්ඩලයේ නිලධාරින් විසින් පිළිගැන්වීම යි.
එමෙන්ම පාසල් දරුවන් අතුරින් සාහිත්ය හා කලාව පිළිබඳව විශේෂ දක්ෂතා දැක් වූ අංකුර කලාකරුවන් ඇගයිමට ලක්කිරිම මෙම සාහිත්ය කලා උළෙලේ තවත් සුවිශේෂි අංගයක් විය.ඒ අනුව 2024 වර්ෂයේ ජාතික සාහිත්ය තරඟ ජයග්රාහකයින්, 2025 දිස්ත්රික් සාහිත්ය තරඟ ජයග්රාහකයින් සහ මහවැව ප්රාදේශීය සාහිත්ය තරඟ ජයග්රාහකයින් මෙලෙස ඇගැයුමට ලක්කලේය.
යටකලාන කණිෂ්ට විද්යාලයේ දරුවන් ඉදිරිපත් කළ නව නිර්මාණ නර්තනය, ඉනෝකා නෘත්ය කලායතනයේ දරුවන් ඉදිරිපත් කළ වෙස් නර්ථනය හා පහතරට නර්තනය, ආරච්චිකට්ටුව සුමිහිර කලායතනයේ දරුවන් ඉදිරිපත් කළ පූජා නර්ථනය, ශසේන්ද්ර නෘත්ය කලායතනයේ දරුවන් ඉදිරිපත් කළ දමිල නර්තනය,නාත්තන්ඩිය සහිරා විද්යාලයේ දරුවන් ඉදිරිපත් කළ මුස්ලිම් නර්ථනය,මාදම්පේ වෘත්තීය පුහුණු මධ්යස්ථනයේ දරුවන් ඉදිරිපත් කළ නර්තනය සහ මහවැව සංස්කෘතික මධ්යස්ථායේ දරුවන් ඉදිරිපත් කළ ශාස්ත්රීය මිශ්ර නර්තනය යන නර්ථන අංගයන්ගෙන් මෙම සාහිත්ය කලා උළෙල වර්ණවත් විය.

අක්වැස්ස දිස්ත්රික් සාහිත්ය කලා උළෙල පුත්තලම දිස්ත්රික් ලේකම් කාර්යාලය හා මහවැව ප්රාදේශීය ලේකම් කාර්යාලය, දිස්ත්රික් සාහිත්ය බල මණ්ඩලය එක්ව සංවිධානය කරන ලදි.

இலக்கியம், கலை, அரசியல், வரலாறு, தகவல் தொடர்பு மற்றும் ஊடகம் உள்ளிட்ட பல துறைகளை போசித்தமை மற்றும் தான் தேடி வளர்த்துக் கொண்ட அறிவின் மூலம் மக்களின் அறிவியல் துறையை வளர்ப்பதில் பல தசாப்தங்களாகச் மேற்கொண்ட சிறப்பான பணிகளைப் பாராட்டும் வகையில் "ரோஹன மத்துமரால" என்ற மாபெரும் இலக்கியவாதியின் பெயரில் ஏற்பாடு செய்யப்பட்ட மாவட்ட இலக்கிய மற்றும் கலை விழா, மாவட்ட ஒருங்கிணைப்புக் குழுவின் இணைத் தலைவர், நாடாளுமன்ற உறுப்பினர் திரு. கயான் ஜனக மற்றும் மேலதிக மாவட்டச் செயலாளர் (நிர்வாகம்) திருமதி. புபுதிகா எஸ். பண்டார ஆகியோரின் தலைமையில், மகாவெவ முதா தேவி அரங்கில் நடைபெற்றது.
மாவட்ட சாசனபாதுகாப்பு (சாசனாரக்ஷ) குழுத் தலைவர் வணக்கத்திற்குரிய ஹல்பன்வில பாலித தேரர் உட்பட தேரர்களினதும், சர்வ மத தலைவர்களினதும் ஆசீர்வாதத்துடன் ஆரம்பமாகிய இலக்கிய விழாவில் "ரோஹன மத்துமரால" அவர்களுக்கான ஞாபகார்த்த விருதினை அவரது மனைவியான ஓய்வுபெற்ற நன்னடத்தை மற்றும் சிறுவர்கள் பாதுகாப்பு சேவை உத்தியோகத்தர் திருமதி கால்லகே ஜயசீலி டி சில்வா அவர்களுக்கு வழங்கி வைக்கப்பட்டது.
இவ்விழாவிற்கு ஒருங்கிணைவாக, இலக்கியம், கலை மற்றும் ஊடகத் துறைகளில் தங்களை அர்ப்பணித்துக் கொண்ட கலைஞர்கள் மற்றும் பத்திரிகையாளர்களின் சேவைகளைப் பாராட்டும் வகையில் வழங்கப்படும் "கலாதினி" விருதுகள் பத்தும் வழங்கி வைக்கப்பட்டது.
அவ்விருதுகளாவன, வணக்கத்திற்குரிய தம்மென்னவேட்டியே ரத்தன ஜோதி தேரர், திரு. டபிள்யூ.எம். விவியன் ஸ்ரீ ஆயேஷ்மந்த, திரு. எம்.ஏ.டி.கே.ஜே. மதுரப்பெரும, திருமதி. ஏ.டி.டி.கே.எம். அமரசிங்க, திரு. எம்.எம். சிரிநந்தசூரிய, திருமதி. டபிள்யூ.ஏ. அருணசாந்தி, திரு. பி.டி. சரத் குமார ஆகியோருக்கு கலைத்துறையை வளர்த்தமைக்காகவும் திரு. ஜெயரத்ன விக்ரமாராச்சி, திரு. கே. மகாதேவன் மற்றும் திரு. மிஹிர விஜேசேகர ஆகியோருக்கு ஊடகத்துறையில் அர்ப்பணிப்புடன் ஈடுபட்டமைக்காவும் வழங்கி வைக்கப்பட்டன.
இந்த விழாவின் மற்றொரு சிறப்பு அம்சமாக, 2025 மாவட்ட இலக்கிய விழாவிற்காக எழுதப்பட்ட தம்பபன்னி அக்வெஸ்ஸ III என்ற இலக்கிய நூலினை மாவட்ட ஒருங்கிணைப்புக் குழுவின் தலைவர் பாராளுமன்ற உறுப்பினர் திரு கயான் ஜனக உள்ளிட்ட விருந்தினர்களுக்கு மாவட்ட இலக்கிய மன்ற அதிகாரிகள் வழங்கி வைத்தனர்.
மேலும், இலக்கியம் மற்றும் கலைத் துறையில் சிறப்புத் திறமைகளைக் காட்டிய பள்ளி மாணவர்களிடையே வளரும் கலைஞர்களைப் பாராட்டும் நிகழ்வும் இவ் இலக்கிய விழாவின் மற்றொரு சிறப்பு அம்சமாகும். அதனடிப்படையில், 2024 தேசிய இலக்கியப் போட்டியின் வெற்றியாளர்கள், 2025 மாவட்ட இலக்கியப் போட்டியின் வெற்றியாளர்கள் மற்றும் மகாவெவ பிராந்திய இலக்கியப் போட்டியின் வெற்றியாளர்கள் இவ்வாறு பாராட்டப்பட்டனர்.
யடகலான கனிஷ்ட வித்தியாலயத்தின் குழந்தைகள் நிகழ்த்திய புத்தாக்க நடனம், இனோகா நடன அக்கடமியின் சிறுவர்கள் நிகழ்த்திய முகமூடி நடனம் மற்றும் கீழத்தேய நடனம், ஆராச்சிகட்டுவ சுமிஹிர கலை நிறுவன சிறுவர்கள் நிகழ்த்திய பூஜா நடனம், ஷசேந்திர நடன அகாடமியின் சிறுவர்கள் நிகழ்த்திய தமிழ் நடனம், நாத்தண்டிய சாஹிரா வித்தியாலயத்தின் மாணவர்கள் நிகழ்த்திய முஸ்லிம் நடனம், மாதம்ப தொழிற்பயிற்சி மையத்தின் மாணவர்கள் நிகழ்த்திய நடனம் மற்றும் மகாவெவ கலாச்சார மையத்தின் சிறுவர்கள் நிகழ்த்திய பாரம்பரிய கலப்பு நடனம் போன்ற நடன அங்கங்கள் இலக்கிய மற்றும் கலை விழாவினை வண்ணமயமாக்கின.

அக்வெஸ்ஸ (முதற் தூவல்) மாவட்ட இலக்கிய கலை விழாவினை புத்தளம் மாவட்ட செயலகம், மகாவெவ பிரதேச செயலகம் மற்றும் மாவட்ட இலக்கிய மன்றம் ஆகியவை இணைந்து ஏற்பாடு செய்திருந்தது.

The District Literary and Arts Festival, named after the great literary figure “Rohana Maddumarala”, was held at the Mahawewa Mudu Devi Theatre under the patronage of the Co-Chairman of the District Coordinating Committee, Mr. Gayan Janaka, Member of Parliament, and Mrs. Pubudika S. Bandara, Additional District Secretary (Administration), in order to appreciate the meritorious work done over many decades in the development of public consciousness through the knowledge he had nurtured and discovered in many fields including literature, art, politics, history, communication and media.
The literary festival, which began with the blessings of the Mahasangha and priests of all religions, including the Chairman of the District Shasanarakshaka Board, Venerable Halpanwila Palitha Thero, presented the Rohana Maddumarala Memorial Award to his wife, retired Probation and Child Protection Service Officer, Mrs. Gallage Jayaseeli de Silva.
Simultaneously with this ceremony, the “Kaladhini” Award, which is given in appreciation of the services of artists and journalists who have dedicated themselves in the fields of literature, art and media, was presented to ten awardees.
The awardees are Venerable Thammennavetiye Rathana Jyothi Thero, Mr. W.M. Vivian Sri Ayeshmantha, Mr. M.A.D.K.J. Madurapperuma, Mrs. A.D.D.K.M. Amarasinghe, Mr. M.M. Sirinandasuriya, Mrs. W.A. Arunashanthi, and Mr. P.D. Sarath Kumara who were awarded for nurturing the field of arts, and Mr. Jayaratne Wickramarachchi, Mr. K. Mahadevan and Mr. Mihira Wijesekera, who dedicated themselves to the media field.
Another special feature of this festival was the presentation of the Thambapanni Akwessa IIl, a literary book written for the 2025 District Literary Festival, by the officials of the District Literary Council to the guests including the Chairman of the District Coordinating Committee, MP Gayan Janaka.
Also, the appreciation of budding artists among school children who had shown special talents in literature and art was another special feature of this literary festival. Accordingly, the winners of the 2024 National Literary Competition, the winners of the 2025 District Literary Competition and the winners of the Mahawewa Divisional Literary Competition were appreciated in this way.
The literary and art festival was colourful with dance elements such as the new creation dance performed by the children of Yatakalana Junior School, the costume dance and lowland dance performed by the children of Inoka Dance Academy, the Pooja dance performed by the children of Arachchikattuwa Sumihira Kalayathana, the Tamil dance performed by the children of Shasendra Dance Academy, the Muslim dance performed by the children of Naththandiya Zahira Vidyalaya, the dance performed by the children of Madampe Vocational Training Centre and the classical mixed dance performed by the children of Mahawewa Cultural Centre.
The Chairman of the Nattandiya Pradeshiya Sabha, Mr. Sagara Wijesekera, Mahawewa Divisional Secretary Mrs. B.W.M.S. Bandara, Nattandiya Divisional Secretary Mrs. Geethani Jansa, Wennappuwa Divisional Secretary Mrs. Nadeeja Herath, Assistant District Secretary Mrs. Nimesha Jayapadma, Puttalam District Secretariat, officials of the Divisional Secretariat and other government institutions, representatives of Sarvodaya, World Vision, Weehena Farm, People's Bank, Bank of Ceylon, Club Farm Hotel, KNS Institute Puhulhena, representatives of the Sahitya Bala Mandala, teachers, parents, children, journalists and residents of the area participated in this event.
The Akwessa District Literary Arts Festival was organized jointly by the Puttalam District Secretariat, the Mahawewa Divisional Secretariat and the District Literary Council.
