දිස්ත්‍රික්කය පුරා විශේෂ ආහාර සුරක්ෂිතතා වැඩසටහනක අවශ්‍යතාව පිළිබඳව දිසාපති එච්.එම්.එස්.පි.හේරත් මහතාගේ විශේෂ අවධානයට යොමුව තිබේ. ඒ අනුව දිස්ත්‍රික්කයේ සියලුම ආගමික ස්ථානවල සහාය ලබා ගෙන හා පාසල් කේන්ද්‍ර කොට ගෘහස්ථ මට්ටමින් ආහාර සුරක්ෂිතතාව පිළිබඳව ජනතාව දැනුවත් කිරීම , ගෙවතු වගාවන්ට යොමු කිරීම මෙහිදී අපේක්ෂා කෙරේ.

සෑම නිවසක් ආශ්‍රිතව ස්වඋත්සාහයෙන් පරිභෝජනය සඳහා අවශ්‍ය ආහාර බෝග වගා කිරිමත් ඉන් කුටුම්බයට අවශ්‍ය ආහාර ද්‍රව්‍ය තමන් විසින් නිෂ්පාදනයත් අපේක්ෂිත ය. දිස්ත්‍රික් ලේකම්වරයා මේ පිළිබඳව ප්‍රකාශ කළේ අද දිස්ත්‍රික් ලේකම් කාර්යාල ශ්‍රවනාගාරයේ පැවති කෘෂිකර්ම කමිටුවේ දී ය.

මහ කන්නයේ වී වගාවන් හි ප්‍රගතිය පසුගිය වසරට සාපේක්ෂව 50% ක අඩුවක් ඇති බව නියෝජ්‍ය කෘෂිකර්ම අධ්‍යක්ෂ බී.වි.ටි.ශ්‍යාමලි මිය මෙහිදි ප්‍රකාශ කළේය. මේ වන විට හෙක්ටයාර 18239.4 ප්‍රමාණයක වී වගාවෙහි අස්වනු නෙලා ඇත. වගා හානි ලෙස හෙක්ටයාර 2816.2 ප්‍රමාණයක් වාර්තා වි තිබේ.

යල කන්නය සඳහා වගා ඉලක්කය හෙක්ටයාර 19108කි. එහෙත් දැනට වගාකොට ඇත්තේ හෙක්ටයාර 3251.6ක් පමණි. ජලය නොමැති වීම, ඉන්ධන,පොහොර හා අනෙකුත් කෘෂි ‍රසායන හිඟය හේතුවෙන් පසුගිය වසරට සාපේක්ෂව වගා ඉලක්ක සපුරා ගැනීමේ අර්බුදකට මුහුණ දී ඇති බව මෙහිදී නියෝජ්‍ය කෘෂිකර්ම අධ්‍යක්ෂවරිය වැඩිදුරටත් පැවසීය.

වී වගාවෙහි වල් නාශක හිඟයට විසදුමක් ලෙස යාන්ත්‍රික වල්මර්ධනය ක්‍රියාත්මක ය. එමෙන්ම පැලවිසුරුම් තවාන් තැටි හිඟයට පිලියමක් ලෙස ඩැපොක්තවාන් විසුරුවීම හඳුන්වා දී තිබෙන බව අධ්‍යක්ෂවරිය මෙහිදි ප්‍රකාශ කළා. ආහාර තාක්ෂණය යටතේ පෙර හා පසු අස්වනු නාස්ථිය අවම කිරිමේ වැඩසටහන් ක්‍රියාත්මක ය.

ප්‍රමිතියෙන් තොර පොහොර නිෂ්පාදනය හා අලෙවිය සම්බන්ධයෙන් නොරොච්චොල ප්‍රදේශයේ ආයතනයක සැකසුම් පිළිබඳව ජාතික පොහොර ලේකම් කාර්යාලයේ දිස්ත්‍රික් නිලධාරින් මැදිහත්වීමෙන් විධිමත් පරික්ෂණයක් පැවැත්වීමට ක්‍රියාකර තිබේ. ඒ අනුව අදාල ආයතනයෙ හි නිෂ්පාදන අලෙවිය තාවකාලිකව නතර කර ඇති බව අනාවරණය විය.

සත්ව ආහාර නොමැති විම, පැටවුන් සඳහා ඉල්ලුම නොමැතිවීම ආදිය හේතුවෙන් බිත්තර නිෂ්පාදනය ආශ්‍රිතව මේ වන විට ගැටළුකාරි තත්වයක් උද්ගතව ඇති බවත් බිත්තර නිෂ්පාදනය බිදවැ‍ටීම පිළිබඳව අවධානය යොමු කරන ලෙසත් මෙහිදී දිසාපතිවරයා උපදෙස් ලබා දුනි.

மாவட்டம் முழுவதிலும் விசேட உணவுப் பாதுகாப்பு வேலைத்திட்டம் ஒன்றின் தேவை தொடர்பில் அரசாங்க அதிபர் திரு. எச்.எம்.எஸ்.பி ஹேரத் விசேட கவனம் செலுத்தியுள்ளார். இதன்படி மாவட்டத்தில் உள்ள அனைத்து சமய ஸ்தலங்களின் உதவிகளையும் பெற்று, பாடசாலை மட்டத்தில் உணவு பாதுகாப்பு தொடர்பில் பொதுமக்களுக்கு விழிப்புணர்வை ஏற்படுத்தி அவர்களை வீட்டுத்தோட்டம் அமைக்க வழிசெய்யும் என எதிர்பார்க்கப்படுகிறது.

ஒவ்வொரு வீட்டிலும் சுய நுகர்வுக்காக உணவுப் பயிர்களை வளர்த்து அதன் மூலம் குடும்பத்திற்குத் தேவையான உணவுப் பொருட்களை உற்பத்தி செய்ய வேண்டும் என்று எதிர்பார்க்கப்படுகிறது. மாவட்டச் செயலக கேட்போர் கூடத்தில் இன்று நடைபெற்ற விவசாயக் குழுக் கூட்டத்தில் மாவட்டச் செயலாளர் இதனைத் தெரிவித்தார்.

கடந்த வருடத்தை விட மகா பருவத்தில் நெல் செய்கையின் முன்னேற்றம் 50% குறைவாகவே காணப்படுவதாக பிரதி விவசாயப் பணிப்பாளர் திருமதி பி.வி.டி.ஷியாமலி தெரிவித்தார்.

Safe and Formal Labor Emigration Program for Sri Lankans - Puttalam District.......

The Ministry of Foreign Employment Promotion and Market Diversification and the Swiss Embassy in Sri Lanka jointly held a discussion on the activities of the Safe and Formal Migration Project for Active Sri Lankans and the contribution of the officers involved in the project at the District Secretariat Auditorium on 20.02.04.29 under the patronage of District Secretary HMSP Herath (Chairman of the Project).

The objective is to create a safe and responsible environment for migrant workers in Sri Lanka and to improve the working conditions of Sri Lankan migrant workers and their families and their well-being.

Accordingly, it promotes migrant worker friendly policies and regulations for Sri Lankans seeking employment abroad, strengthening the expatriate community's acceptance of reaping the expected social and economic benefits of safe migration of migrant workers and their communities.

රු. 125,000 – 150,000 ක් දක්වා නිවාස දේපල හානි සඳහා වන්දි ලබා දීමේ අයදුම්පත් සකස් කර ඒ සඳහා අනුමැතිය ලබා දීමේ දිස්ත්‍රික් ලේකම්ගේ නියෝජිතයා ලෙස සෑම ප්‍රාදේශීය ලේකම් කොට්ඨාසයකම සහකාර සැලසුම් අධ්‍යක්ෂ හෝ සහකාර ප්‍රාදේශීය ලේකම් වෙත බලය පැවරීමට මෙහි දී යොජනා වීය. කඩිනමින් අවශ්‍ය සහන හා වන්දි ජනතාව වෙත ලබා දීම මෙහි ඒකායන අරමුණ වේ.

කල්පිටිය, හලාවත හා මාදම්පේ යන ප්‍රාදේශීය ලේකම් කොට්ඨාසයන්හි නැවත පදිංචි කිරීමේ වැඩසටහන් විධිමත් ලෙස ක්‍රියාත්මක කර පවත්වාගෙන යාමට අවශ්‍ය වාර්ථා යුහුසුළුව ගෙන්වා ගැනීමට කටයුතු කරන ලෙස අදාළ නිළධාරීන් වෙත දිස්ත්‍රික් ලේකම්වරයා ‍විසින් දන්වන ලදි.

District Disaster Relief Services Officer Progress Review Meeting was held today (19) at the District Secretariat Puttalam.

Attention was drawn to formulate a formal plan for the implementation of emergency response programs. The Government Agent confirmed the need to take immediate action in the event of a disaster situation in the face of the prevailing crisis situation in the country as the southwest monsoon rains are expected in the future and the necessary arrangements should be made for that now.

Attention was also drawn to the implementation of disaster mitigation plans by the local authorities and the preparation of a suitable plan locally.

It was proposed to authorize the Assistant Director of Planning or the Assistant Divisional Secretary in each Divisional Secretariat as the representative of the District Secretary to prepare and approve applications for compensation for damages of Rs. 125,000 - 150,000 houses and property.The sole purpose of this is to provide the necessary relief and compensation to the people as soon as possible.

The District Secretary instructed the relevant officials to bring down the reports required for the proper implementation and resettlement of resettlement programs in Kalpitiya, Chilaw and Madampe Divisional Secretariats.
